I thought the start of the new year
would present a perfect opportunity to create a blog that follows my adventures as a cyclist. Also, I have signed my
first contract, making this blog full of excitement for the upcoming year.
This year I have signed with Giant
Bicycles and will be a development rider for the Giant Off-Road Co-Factory
team. Words cannot describe how excited I am to sign with such a prominent and
successful company as Giant Bicycles. I will be racing a 27.5 Giant XTC for mountain bike and TCX for cyclocross next year with the program. I could not be happier for the upcoming season.
The awesome part about being on the co-factory team is the proximity that the team has to the factory squad. Not only will I get to hang out with Carl Decker and Adam Craig, but I will get to learn from them along the way. Beyond this, depending on how well everything goes, the possibility of my advancement to the factory team is very real.
I am also extremely excited about being a part of a team. Mountain biking is an individual sport, but having the support and advice of teammates is crucial to success. 2015 will be the first year of the co-factory team's existence and I cannot wait to hit he ground running.
Lastly, I have a couple of
major thank yous for Dave, Sue, and Dan at 6Fifteen Cyclery. If it wasn’t for
them I would not have landed my deal with Giant. Also, I want to thank Mike
Stewart for putting me in contact with the right people within the industry and
advocating for my talent. Also, I want to thank my new team manager Jeremy Tufts
and the consumer marketing manager of Giant bicycles, Justin Swett. Lastly. I have a huge
thank you for my mom and dad for making everything possible and helping me to
pursue my dream.
Finally, I will end every blog with a picture or multiple. For this blog I have chosen a couple of my favorites from 2014
